About Me

Jackie Flam is a sophomore from Baltimore, MD studying Education at the University of Maryland, with a minor in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Her interests include drawing, baking, working with kids, and making bracelets. After graduating from college, she plans on becoming a middle school math teacher to help kids in as many ways as possible, especially academically..

As a College Park Arts Scholar, Jackie intends to explore her interests through her Capstone project that will be completed during her sophomore year. She is excited to take advantage of the opportunity to learn about art careers from guest artists. She also looks forward to attending field trips to explore the arts within her community of College Park, MD. As part of her university experience, she plans to become even more involved with Lakeland STARS and the Camp Kesem organization, both being service projects aimed at helping young students.
